Job summary

Sully's Steamers Gainesville is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure high standards of food quality, service, and guest satisfaction. The role reports to the General Manager and requires hands-on leadership during shifts.

Responsibilities include enforcing standards, training staff, managing costs, and maintaining cleanliness and professionalism in appearance. Ideal candidates bring strong team leadership and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel, Google Suite).
• Proficient in restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, security, policies and procedures, personnel management.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be willing to submit to a background check.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor.
• Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas; maintain professional restaurant image and appearance standards.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
• Responsible for ensuring consistent, high-quality food preparation and service.
• Provide positive guest service; respond to complaints to turn guests into return guests.
• Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues.
• Follow up with employees on tasks and monitor training during shifts.
• Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback and establishing performance expectations.
