Whataburger in Smyrna, TN is seeking a Shift Leader to drive operational excellence, coach a team, and deliver great guest experiences on every shift. You’ll partner with the Restaurant Manager to sharpen leadership skills and strengthen daily operations for consistent performance.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining safety and sanitation, managing costs, and fostering teamwork. This role offers clear growth opportunities and a path to leadership advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, equivalent experience considered.
• Open availability including overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to stand up to 10 hours and lift up to 55 lb.
• Experience coaching or leading teams; strong customer service and communication skills.
• ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain during training.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Coach, train, and motivate Family Members to perform at peak.
• Support goals related to food cost, labor cost, and inventory basics.
• Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance.
• Foster teamwork, accountability, and a positive work culture.
• Prepare, lead, and transition shift operations to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
