Job summary

Whataburger is hiring a Shift Leader in Memphis, TN to drive shift performance, coaching Team Members, and maintaining high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. You will partner with the Restaurant Manager to sharpen leadership skills and support daily operations.

You’ll manage shifts, coach staff, control costs, and uphold safety and sanitation guidelines while sustaining a positive work culture and delivering great guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• Open availability including overnights, weekends, holidays, variable hours.
• Ability to stand up to 10 hours and lift up to 55 lbs.
• Experience coaching or leading teams; strong customer service and communication.
• ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain during training.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Coach, train, and motivate Family Members to improve performance.
• Support goals for food cost, labor cost, and sales performance.
• Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance requirements.
• Foster teamwork and a positive work culture.
• Prepare and transition shift operations to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
