Job summary

Whataburger is seeking a Shift Leader to drive operational excellence in your home restaurant, coach team members, and maintain quality and service during busy shifts. You’ll manage shift operations, track goals, and uphold food safety and workplace standards while fostering a positive, high-energy work culture.

Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience.
Open availability including overnights, weekends, holidays, variable hours.
Able to stand 10+ hours, lift up to 55 lbs, and meet physical demands.
Experience coaching or leading teams and strong customer service skills.
ServSafe Food Certification (or ability to obtain during training).

Responsibilities

Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
Coach, train, and motivate team members to perform effectively.
Support goals related to food cost, labor cost, sales performance, and inventory.
Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance requirements.
Foster teamwork, communication, accountability, and a positive work culture.
Prepare, lead, and transition shift operations to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
