Job summary

GPM Investments, LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Charleston, SC convenience store. You will support the Store Manager, run the register, and lead a high-performing team to deliver excellent customer service and store results.

This role requires open weekend/holiday availability and comfort with fast-paced store operations, including cash handling and inventory management. A Food Safety Certification is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or convenience store operations.
• Ability to coach and motivate a team.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with day-to-day operations.
• Operate the register with speed, accuracy, and courtesy.
• Coach and motivate team members to upsell products and promotions.
• Participate in hiring, training, and leading a high-performing team.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and merchandising to stock levels.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store environment, including restrooms and pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules for full coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling and deposits; help manage store financials.
