Job summary

GPM Investments is hiring an Assistant Manager for Store 3871 in Hanahan, SC. The role will drive daily operations, customer service, and staff leadership on various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

You will help with cash handling, scheduling, inventory, and merchandising to ensure the store runs smoothly. The position requires open availability, reliable transportation, and a Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Open availability to work weekends, holidays and second/third shifts.
• Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Comfortable performing cleaning and upkeep tasks at the store exterior and restrooms.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient English communication and basic math skills.
• Willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Food Safety Certification required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Operate the register and assist customers with speed and accuracy.
• Coach and motivate team to upsell products and promotions.
• Hire, train, and lead a high-performing customer-service oriented team.
• Act as manager on duty when the Store Manager is unavailable.
• Manage inventory, ordering and merchandising to keep stock levels optimal.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store including restrooms and fuel pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules for full coverage.
• Handle daily cash deposits and oversee store finances.
• Provide leadership feedback to drive team performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
