Job summary

RaceTrac Petroleum, Inc. is seeking a full-time Shift Manager to lead a winning team on a fast-paced retail shift.

You will set a positive tone, direct food service, stocking, cleaning, and cash handling while coaching teammates in real time and addressing guest concerns with empathy. You will drive operational excellence by training staff to meet guest service, food safety, and cleanliness standards, overseeing inventory, and coordinating shift changes.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of work experience (retail, restaurant, or food service preferred).
• 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).
• Comfort in fast-paced, high-volume, guest-focused environments.
• Ability to follow through on tasks and coach others to do the same.
• Strong communication and team building skills.

• Set the tone with a cheerful, can-do attitude that motivates your team.
• Provide clear direction and assist with food service, stocking, cleaning, or cash handling.
• Coach team members in real-time, offering guidance and support during every shift.
• Address guest concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating when necessary.
• Train and guide your team to meet RaceTrac’s guest service, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Oversee inventory, vendor check-in, and promotional communication.
• Lead shift change communication and ensure team alignment throughout the day.
