Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking a hands-on Shift Manager to lead a busy store shift. You’ll motivate the team, ensure guest satisfaction, and handle food service, stocking, cleaning, and cash handling.

You’ll train staff to meet service and safety standards, supervise inventory, and communicate updates from leadership. Previous supervisory experience in retail or food service is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of work experience in retail, restaurant, or food service.
• 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Strong communication and team-building skills.
• Willingness to obtain required permits (food handlers, alcohol server, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Set a cheerful, can-do attitude that motivates the team.
• Provide clear direction and assist with food service, stocking, cleaning, or cash handling.
• Coach team members in real-time, offering guidance and support during every shift.
• Address guest concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating when necessary.
• Train and guide your team to meet service, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Oversee inventory, vendor check-in, and promotional communication.
• Lead shift change communication and ensure team alignment throughout the day.
• Relay important updates from leadership and monitor task completion.
