Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking a hands-on Shift Manager to lead a fast-paced store team, drive daily operations, and coach teammates for outstanding guest experiences. You’ll direct food service, stocking, cash handling, and cleanliness while maintaining a cheerful, can-do attitude and strong teamwork.

Flexibility with scheduling and a focus on results are essential. You’ll help train and develop future leaders, ensure compliance with food safety and policy standards, and support inventory and vendor

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of work experience (retail, restaurant, or food service preferred).
• 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Winning Team on Your Shift
• Provide clear direction and assist with food service, stocking, cleaning, or cash handling
• Coach team members in real-time, offering guidance and support during every shift
• Address guest concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating when necessary
• Train and guide your team to meet guest service, food safety, and cleanliness standards
• Oversee inventory, write-offs, cash wrap, and compliance documentation
• Lead shift change communication and ensure team alignment throughout the day
• Model communication and accountability, relay updates from leadership
• Monitor task completion and provide immediate feedback to drive results
• Support a team culture rooted in accountability, respect, and teamwork
• Step in during busy times, showing what great leadership looks like
