Job summary

Whataburger Restaurants is seeking a Shift Leader to drive daily operations, coach Team Members, and ensure quality, service and safety on every shift. You’ll lead the team, manage shift transitions, and partner with the Restaurant Manager to sharpen leadership and build a strong operational foundation.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or GED, preferred.
• Open availability including overnights, weekends, holidays.
• Able to stand up to 10 hours and lift up to 55 lbs.
• Experience coaching or leading teams and strong customer service.
• Possess ServSafe Food Certification, or ability to obtain during training.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Coach, train, motivate Family Members and help new hires ketchup quickly and seasoned pros turn up the heat.
• Support goals related to food cost, labor cost, sales performance and basic inventory processes.
• Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation and compliance requirements.
• Foster teamwork, communication, accountability and a positive work culture.
• Prepare, lead and transition shift operations to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
