Job summary

Whataburger is seeking a Shift Leader to drive operational excellence at your home restaurant. You will coach the team, manage shifts and uphold food safety, quality and customer service during busy periods.

You’ll partner with the Restaurant Manager to control costs, train new hires, and maintain a positive work culture across all shifts. This full-time role offers career growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience coaching or leading teams and strong customer service skills.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts including overnights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management to ensure quality, service and cleanliness.
• Coach, train and motivate team members to perform at peak.
• Support goals related to food and labor cost, and inventory basics.
• Uphold food safety, safety standards and sanitation requirements.
• Foster teamwork, accountability and a positive work culture.
• Prepare and transition shift operations to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
