Job summary

MFA Petroleum Company is seeking Break Time Shift Leaders to support management and operations of Break Time convenience stores in Missouri. This entry into management helps with store finances, shift supervision, and paperwork.

You will deliver friendly customer service, supervise daily operations, merchandising, and training of new staff while ensuring food service, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Friendly, customer service-oriented person who enjoys a fast-paced work environment
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance with adequate transportation to/from bank
• Flexible availability which may include all shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Works well individually and in leading a team
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations to make change, complete shift reports, and account for numbers of products during vendor check in
• Ability to learn new concepts, use technical materials, and consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
• Ability to perform assigned duties with accuracy and with minimal supervision
• Physical ability to move and position products in the cooler and freezer
• Ability to stand for up to nine hours per shift
• Ability to ascend/descend ladders occasionally
• Ability to communicate in English with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
• Ability to meet Company requirements, including successful pre-employment background check and drug test
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and engage with customers while promoting a friendly store environment
• Assist in daily store operations including banking, inventory, reporting, fuel management, and maintaining equipment and cleanliness
• Support merchandising and promotional activities, pricing, and stocking of merchandise
• Supervise shifts in the absence of the manager and help train new employees
• Maintain professional communication with customers, vendors, and staff across store operations
• Understand store finances and help control cash, shortages, and expenses
• Promote food service and food safety and comply with local regulations
• Operate point-of-sale systems and other store technology
