Job summary

Shake Shack in New York, NY is seeking a Restaurant Team Leader to manage service flow, direct shift-based teams, and uphold safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed. You may assist with purchasing, receiving, and inventory, and participate in interviews to hire strong teammates.

Starting hourly rate is $21.00–$25.00, with an additional $2/hour for certain shifts worked after midnight. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 1 year of restaurant leadership supervising a team.
• Food Safety Certification according to local jurisdiction.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of service and direct the work of team members on a shift to ensure safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed.
• Help build and lead a high performing team of hourly Team Members.
• Assist with operational support functions (i.e. Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory).
• Participates in applicant interviews and assists with employee relations.
