Job summary

Palm Harbor Homes is seeking a Production Team Lead to supervise daily operations in the absence of a manager. You will create shift schedules, assign duties, and support stations during your shift.

You will coordinate activities of workers, check production schedules and priorities, designate duties, explain procedures, interpret work orders, requisition supplies, and help resolve technical problems at the line.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a Shift Leader or similar role in retail.
• Experience creating shift schedules.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Confident problem-solver.
• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations in the absence of a manager.
• Create shift schedules and assign duties to staff.
• Help out at any work station during the shift.
• Coordinate activities of workers in product assembly per specifications and schedules.
• Plan departmental work assignments based on schedules and priorities.
• Designate duties and lead department activities.
• Explain and demonstrate assembly line procedures to workers.
• Interpret specifications and work orders for workers.
• Requisition and distribute supplies and materials.
• Assist workers in resolving technical problems and inform supervisor of complex issues.
• Read and maintain reports such as production, attendance, and waste reports.
