Job summary

Palm Harbor Homes in Texas is seeking a Production Manager to lead the plant's production across multiple departments, ensuring safe, efficient manufacturing of high‑quality homes and components. You will own execution, continuous improvement, and coaching of supervisors and team leads.

This role requires strong process mapping, quality assurance, staffing decisions, and risk management while maintaining open communication with operations and general management to hit weekly and monthly

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Physically able to lift 40+ pounds and perform movement requirements of a manufacturing environment.
• College degree and manufacturing experience required; 5+ years in production is expected.
• Experience in coaching staff and leading multiple teams to meet goals.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the working environment to ensure safety and policy compliance.
• Communicate with plant operations manager about safety concerns and production goals.
• Strategically manage workforce including hiring, firing and promotions.
• Ensure work orders and instructions are followed for accurate, efficient assembly.
• Coordinate with supervisors to meet weekly production goals and staffing needs.
• Maintain tools and machinery and support maintenance activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
