Peyton Resource Group's client is seeking an experienced Production Assembly Team Lead to provide hands-on leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will direct day-to-day assembly activities, support team performance, ensure product quality, and uphold safety and production targets.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who communicates effectively with production employees, resolves issues, and drives continuous improvement across the operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Willingness to train and develop team members.
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation, specifications, diagrams, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership, direction, and motivation to a team of assembly operators to achieve established production goals.
• Organize and distribute daily assignments and shift responsibilities to maintain workloads and workflow.
• Train, coach, and develop team members to strengthen technical skills and improve performance.
• Oversee assembly operations to meet quality requirements and produce accurate work.
• Perform routine inspections and quality checks to verify finished products meet specifications.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and address production challenges, including equipment issues and process interruptions.
• Maintain accurate records related to production output, employee performance, quality results, and operational metrics.
• Promote a safe workplace by following safety requirements and company policies.
• Recognize opportunities to improve production processes and overall team performance.
• Attend department and management meetings and communicate updates between production employees and leadership.
• Communicate production updates, performance concerns, and departmental objectives clearly to team members and management.

Primary Responsibilities

Senior Production Assembly Team Lead will:

• Demonstrate the ability to perform all standard Team Lead responsibilities and serve as a resource for the broader production team.
• Participate in higher‑level operational meetings as needed and prepare relevant information regarding production performance, challenges, and overall operational status.
• Contribute to the development of departmental objectives, management initiatives, and process improvement strategies.
• Take an active role in identifying and implementing opportunities that improve operational performance and efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical education or training is a plus.
• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with a minimum of 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of electronic components and assembly processes.
• Ability to understand and follow technical documentation, specifications, diagrams, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity.
• Willingness and ability to complete additional training and certifications as required for assigned production areas.
• Ability to work effectively in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment while remaining composed and focused when challenges arise.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Position is primarily based within a manufacturing and production environment.
• Regular exposure to machinery, production equipment, tools, and moderate noise levels.
• Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
• Ability to remain standing, bend, reach, walk, and move throughout the production area for extended periods.
