Job summary

Nextaff seeks an Assembler Team Leader in Gulfport, MS to lead an assembly team and coordinate production schedules, material availability, training, quality, and safety while remaining hands-on with production work as needed.

The role requires previous manufacturing or assembly leadership, strong knowledge of production workflows, and a focus on continuous improvement to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• Must have previous manufacturing or assembly experience with leadership or supervisory capability.
• Strong knowledge of production workflow, quality expectations, safety practices, and material handling.

Responsibilities

• Support daily production goals and coordinate priorities with production leadership.
• Monitor schedules, due dates, and material availability; communicate shortages or delays.
• Assist with new-hire orientation, on-the-job training, and cross-training of team members.
• Help ensure labor and departmental production information is accurately reported.
• Stage parts, paperwork, supplies and materials to keep production moving.
• Receive and visually inspect materials; coordinate movement of completed products.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure products meet quality standards.
• Inspect and document parts; complete checklists; support product testing.
• Identify recurring production or quality issues and implement corrective improvements.
• Lead or support team meetings; communicate safety, quality, and workflow concerns.
• Provide supervisory coverage when delegated by production leadership.
• Promote housekeeping and safe work practices.
