Job summary

Chick-fil-A in Wilmington, NC seeks a Shift Leader who embodies our core values and serves with a servant’s heart. You will support senior leadership to run daily operations, coach team members, and uphold our Recipe for Service in a high-volume restaurant.

You’ll lead by example, set a positive tone on every shift, and be a friendly, reliable team player who can handle closing/opening duties and maintain food quality and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Participating operationally in day-to-day activities in high-volume, fast-paced Restaurant
• Offer immediate and respectful response and solutions to our Guest's needs
• Assist in training of new hires, set the tone for a shift, and act as a role model for our team
• Be a friendly, encouraging team player
• Open and/or close, lead shifts, key holder
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
• Planning ahead for your shifts and employee setups.
• Ensures that Team Members follow recipes and read tickets to accurately prepare all orders.
• Ensures that Team Members are extremely accurate with weights and measurements for all menu items.
• Ensures that Team Members work at a pace to maintain the restaurants speed of service guidelines.
• Ensures that workstations are kept clean at all times.
• Executes proper security, cash handling and holds cashiers accountable to adhering to policies and procedures.
• Ensures that Team Members monitor the dining room, restrooms, parking lot and overall restaurant cleanliness.
• Addresses guest concerns in a professional manner, consults with a Director regarding complex issues.
• Maintains positive working relationships, treating all with honor, dignity and respect.
• Communicates employee performance, policy and procedure violations to management for appropriate handling.

Our Shift Leaders are responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence and our Recipe for Service. A Shift Leader’s two main areas of focus are completing tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively, and coaching/developing team members. Shift Leaders lead by example and set the tone that others will follow.
