Job summary

Saladbar in Rocky Hill, CT is seeking a dynamic Shift Lead to help manage daily operations and inspire the team on the floor. You will balance leadership duties with hands-on tasks, oversee food prep, cleaning, inventory, and cash handling while ensuring a positive dining experience for guests.

Requirements include a current ServSafe Manager certification, prior leadership in a food-service setting, strong communication, and the ability to work both days and evenings, including weekends.

What You Will Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Shift Lead, you ensure the success of the shift by balancing leadership with hands-on work.

• Team Leadership & Delegation: Coordinate, delegate, and supervise staff tasks to ensure timely execution.
• Active Operations: Actively participate in all daily activities, including food prep, general cleaning (dishes, sanitizing), stocking inventory, and ensuring a smooth flow during service.
• Customer Experience: Provide exceptional service, interact with customers, and quickly resolve issues for a positive dining experience.
• Training & Mentoring: Train, mentor, and motivate team members to uphold high standards in service, quality, and cleanliness.
• Financial Oversight: Accurately handle and reconcile all shift payment transactions and manage cash.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure the saladbar is clean and organized, strictly upholding all health and safety regulations.
