KIN. Social by Quartiere Restaurant Holdings is seeking a confident Shift Lead to help run daily service at our Stamford, CT location. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes guest hospitality, team guidance, and maintaining service standards with calm supervision during busy periods.

The ideal candidate has restaurant experience, strong communication, and the ability to balance guest care with keeping the team organized and focused throughout service. Evening/weekend shifts required.

Responsibilities

About the Role

KIN. Social by Quartiere Restaurant Holdings is looking for a confident, dependable, and hospitality-driven Shift Leadto join our team in Stamford, CT.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being part of service while also helping guide the team and keep the restaurant running smoothly. Our Shift Leads set the tone on the floor, support team members, maintain service standards, and step in to solve problems as they arise.

The ideal candidate has strong restaurant experience, leads by example, communicates well, and knows how to balance taking care of guests with keeping the team organized and focused.

Responsibilities

• Help lead front-of-house operations during assigned shifts
• Maintain an active presence on the floor and support the team throughout service
• Help coordinate servers, bartenders, hosts, runners, and other support staff
• Monitor the flow of service and make adjustments as business needs change
• Delegate side work, opening, closing, and other shift responsibilities
• Ensure team members are following KIN. Social service standards and procedures
• Coach and support team members in the moment when needed
• Address guest concerns professionally and work toward appropriate resolutions
• Communicate with the kitchen and bar to help maintain smooth service between departments
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and end-of-shift responsibilities
• Monitor cleanliness, organization, and overall restaurant presentation
• Assist with breaks, call-outs, and staffing adjustments during the shift
• Communicate important shift updates, guest concerns, and team issues to management
• Support management in maintaining a professional, positive, and accountable team environment

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience required
• Previous serving and/or bartending experience strongly preferred
• Previous Shift Lead, Supervisor, or other restaurant leadership experience preferred
• Strong understanding of front-of-house service and restaurant operations
• Confident directing and supporting a team during busy service
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
• Comfortable handling guest concerns and service recovery
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash-handling procedures
• Dependable, punctual, professional, and team-oriented
• Willingness to receive feedback and continue developing as a leader
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
