Position Overview:

The Shift Leader is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the store in partnership with the General Manager or the Assistant General Manager. The Shift Leader ensures the team understands goals, expectations, products, cleanliness, directives, and guest connections during the shift.

DOING – What you deliver:

• Lead shifts focusing on team engagement and guest satisfaction, fostering a fun environment.
• Maximize product sales and manage waste effectively.
• Take ownership of the store’s look and feel, demonstrating total store vision.
• Communicate effectively during the shift, addressing needs proactively.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, owning the shift and subsequent shifts.
• Ensure SOP and quality standards are met consistently.
• Coach and give feedback to team members in real-time.
• Train team on responsibilities, product knowledge, and promotions.
• Complete administrative tasks accurately, including deposits, inventory, and orders.
• Develop team members and discuss career growth opportunities.

Qualifications:

Required:

• At least 1 year of leadership, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience, or proper training and approval by Caribou Coffee.
• Availability for early mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

Hearing, speaking, seeing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for 4-8 hours, with or without accommodations.
