Shift Leader Responsibilities

• Report to the Restaurant General Manager and champion better burgers
• Manage performance of FOH & BOH employees
• Promote a positive work environment
• Train employees using SmashConnect, LMS, and the 4-step training method
• Recognize employee performance that exceeds standards
• Ensure operational checklists are completed daily (line checks, uniform standards, opening/closing, safe deposits)
• Manage guest experience metrics (NPS, OSAT)
• Maintain food safety standards in compliance with health regulations
• Demonstrate guest service standards and train staff accordingly
• Oversee onboarding and training of new employees
• Manage food costs and inventory
• Follow cash handling policies to prevent losses
• Manage daily labor schedules

Requirements

• Previous Shift Leader experience
• Completion of train-the-trainer course within 90 days
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Adherence to uniform standards
• Ability to follow all company, local, state, and federal regulations
• Successful completion of Smashburger training program
• Strong communication skills
• People management skills
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Self-motivated and results-driven
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in high-temperature environments
