Job summary

Cheba Hut Shift Leaders run the floor, supervising the crew during shifts and setting the tone for food quality, food safety, cleanliness, and customer experience, all while coaching the team to be their best. You’ll report to the General Manager and work closely with the Assistant General Manager.

You’ll lead by example, coach the crew, manage busy shifts, ensure accurate orders, and hit labor targets while maintaining top-tier safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Previous shift lead, key holder, or restaurant leadership experience.
• State-required food safety certification (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to lift 47 lbs, stand up to 10 hours, and work shifts up to 10 hours.
• Shop-first, customer-first mindset with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Uphold the Big 4: atmosphere, cleanliness, interaction, and product quality.
• Lead, motivate, and coach the crew through recognition and accountability.
• Run a smooth shift: finish the Battle Plan, place staff in roles, and adapt during busy times.
• Keep food safe and fresh: write prep/stock lists, complete line checks, follow FIFO, log waste.
• Ensure orders are accurate and meet ticket times.
• Hit SPMH and labor targets.
• Maintain consistent leadership with no favorites and keep management informed.

Cheba Hut Toasted Subs – Shift Leader - MUST BE 18+

About the role

Cheba Hut Shift Leaders run the floor. You’ll supervise the crew during your shifts and set the tone for food quality, food safety, cleanliness, and customer experience, all while coaching your team to be their best. You’ll report to the General Manager and work closely with the Assistant General Manager.

What you’ll do

• Uphold the “Big 4”: atmosphere, cleanliness, interaction, and product quality. Be a thermostat, not a thermometer.
• Lead, motivate, and coach the crew through recognition and accountability, working shoulder to shoulder.
• Run a smooth shift: complete the Battle Plan, get “aces in their places,” and call audibles when it’s busy or short-staffed.
• Keep food safe and fresh: write prep and stock lists to PARs, complete line checks, follow F.I.F.O., and keep the waste log.
• Make sure orders are accurate and meet Cheba Hut ticket times.
• Hit SPMH and labor targets.
• Hold everyone to the same standard, with no favorites and no silent approval, and keep shop leadership in the loop.

• Ability to juggle priorities and stay calm under pressure
• State-required food safety certification (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to lift 47 lbs, stand up to 10 hours, and work shifts up to 10 hours
• Comfortable with a cannabis-themed culture
