Job description

REPORTS TO: General Manager

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Shift leaders partner closely with the General Manager to achieve restaurant operational goals, including annual sales and profit plans. They perform duties similar to crew members but in a leadership capacity, assisting with tasks typically handled by the General and Assistant Managers, excluding hiring and termination of crew members.

JOB DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:
  1. Supervising restaurant crew members during a shift to ensure product quality, operational efficiency, and excellent guest service.
  2. Assisting in planning and overseeing the completion of all job tasks, ensuring compliance with safety, food safety, sanitation, and security procedures.
  3. Utilizing company training tools to provide staff training.
  4. Assisting in maintaining restaurant equipment and facilities according to company guidelines; reporting repair needs to the General Manager.
  5. Performing administrative tasks such as register and safe audits, depositing funds, and reporting accidents; investigating and resolving guest complaints.
  6. Attending scheduled meetings, training sessions, and maintaining current certifications (e.g., alcohol, food safety).
  7. Monitoring cleanliness inside and outside the restaurant and initiating cleaning as needed.
  8. Performing additional activities as assigned by management in accordance with policies and procedures.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical requirements include sitting, talking, hearing, handling or feeling objects, reaching with hands and arms, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of 2 years restaurant experience.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to respond to guest needs.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions, orders, and written materials.
  • Proficiency in operating a cash register and basic math skills.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Compensation: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
