Position Overview

In this lively leadership role, the Shift Supervisor champions Papa Murphy's commitment to quality, service, integrity, and teamwork by:

  1. Conquering all aspects of the Crew Member position.
  2. Overseeing and encouraging all team members to be their best on shift.
  3. Accomplishing or assisting with all necessary tasks to ensure all aspects of the store are prepared for the projected business needs.
  4. Energizing team members so the store operates to or above the standard guest service, product quality, food handling, sanitation, safety, and security guidelines.
  5. Holding yourself and other team members accountable for all cash handling, schedules, breaks, opening and/or closing duties, and accurate shift paperwork using the POS.
  6. Addressing emergencies, guest complaints, equipment problems, product shortages, and team member issues in a calm and friendly manner.
  7. Training and developing team members for successful growth and development.
  8. Operating the store independently if needed, in the absence of the manager.

What You Bring To The Table

(Position-specific knowledge, skills, abilities, and more)

  1. Ability to communicate, read, and apply fundamental math skills effectively.
  2. Outstanding customer service skills.
  3. Capacity to manage various difficult or emotional guest and crew situations.
  4. Novice computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and POS.
  5. Basic knowledge of store financials, P&Ls, break-even, food cost, labor cost, and other economic information relative to store operations.
Foundations Of Your Career
  1. Desire to be a team player and lead with a great attitude!
  2. At least six months experience in QSR (or previous crew) involvement.
  3. Ability to build positive relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and guests!
  4. Knowledge in food safety is preferred; a food handler's card and/or ServeSafe certification is a plus but not required.
Other Requirements
  1. Regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  2. Occasionally required to bend and stoop, kneel or crouch.
  3. Able to perform cleaning duties such as wiping tables and equipment, sweeping and mopping.
  4. Capable of lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.
  5. Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
