Job summary

Amcor Limited is seeking a Group Leader to help the team produce a quality product while communicating priorities across safety, maintenance, and quality. You will run the shift in accordance with standards and drive the plant toward optimal efficiency.

You will oversee team activities, promote safety, conduct risk assessments, lead safety meetings, and support training and performance development. The role requires strong communication and a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED required
• Experience: Manufacturing experience preferred; 2-4 year technical degree desirable
• Competencies: safety leadership, accountability, communication, engagement, team development, people agility, problem solving

Responsibilities

• Oversee the activities of all team employees under the direction of the Supervisor
• Perform duties safely and serve as a safety role model
• Ensure safety of all team members and address hazards immediately
• Lead pre-shift, department and other safety meetings
• Organize teams to address safety, quality, or operational issues
• Coach and motivate employees, provide performance feedback
• Contribute to employee training and development
• Assist with documentation and meetings as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
