Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to serve customers, stock merchandise, and lead store operations in the absence of the Store Manager. You will help with plan-o-grams, merchandising, and maintaining a safe, clean store environment.

Responsibilities include operating the cash register, processing transactions, assisting customers, and supporting loss prevention efforts while delivering exemplary service and teamwork in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise; build displays.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
• Operate cash register and process payments.
• Assist customers and locate merchandise.
• Maintain store cleanliness and security.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
