Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a capable Cashier/Stocker to support store operations and lead in the absence of the Store Manager. You will assist with plan-o-grams, stock merchandise, and deliver exceptional customer service while protecting assets and reducing losses.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, processing shipments, maintaining displays, and aiding in daily store functions to maximize profitability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions and scanners.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks following store procedures.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes according to store processes.
• Stock, rotate, and face merchandise; build displays.
• Restock returned merchandise and manage stock levels.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Help customers locate merchandise and provide excellent service.
• Maintain clean store areas: floors, restrooms, stockroom; manage safety.
