Job summary

Greenleaf Hospitality Group seeks a Shift Lead for the Starbucks inside the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Kalamazoo, MI. You will lead on-shift operations, oversee barista performance, and ensure quick, friendly service in a busy setting.

Responsibilities include training, opening/closing procedures, inventory support, and maintaining beverage quality in accordance with health codes and company standards.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory, lead, or senior barista experience in a high-volume retail or food service environment preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Comfort with coffee equipment and sanitizing chemicals while maintaining health code compliance.

Responsibilities

• Run smooth, efficient shifts by deploying baristas, managing floor flow, and multitasking across register, bar, and guest service.
• Lead and mentor associates; participate in onboarding and training.
• Oversee opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures with checklists and cash-handling protocols.
• Ensure beverage quality, food safety, cleanliness, and store sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with inventory receiving, stocking, and displaying visual merchandise.
• Identify operational needs during slower periods and delegate tasks.
