Job summary

SVZ-USA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform electrical and mechanical servicing and maintenance of production machinery, utilities, plant, and grounds. You will diagnose, repair, install, and adjust equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include analyzing fault data, welding parts, calibrating instruments, and keeping meticulous records of repairs. A strong commitment to safety and teamwork is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
• Performing routine maintenance and welding skills on equipment.
• Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
• Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
• Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as trained.
• Cooperate, coordinate, and communicate with all team members to efficiently complete work.
• Arrive to work on time and potentially work a flexible schedule to come in early and stay late as needed.
• Perform maintenance, repair, and installation work on equipment, machinery, and facilities including pneumatic and some hydraulic equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
• Analyze test results and machine error messages to diagnose problems and inspect for wear or defects.
• Cut and weld metal to repair broken parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble equipment.
• Disassemble machinery to remove parts and reassemble after inspections or repairs.
• Observe and test the operation of machinery to verify repairs, and operate newly repaired equipment.
• Record repairs and maintenance performed including parts used and order new parts as necessary.
• Operate and maintain steam boiler, refrigeration systems, electrical and compressed gases, and water.
• Calibrate or adjust electronic equipment to specification and enter programming codes.
• Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts and equipment.
• Demonstrate equipment functions to operators.
• Uphold safety and HACCP rules in all work activities.
