Job summary

Convive Brands in New York, NY is seeking a Manager-in-training / Shift Lead to join our team. You will provide friendly service, assist with daily operations, and develop leadership skills in a bustling, multi-brand environment.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 months of related restaurant experience or training.
• Experience with POS systems, especially Toast.
• Fulltime open availability in scheduling (including weekend availability).
• Ability to be cross-trained in all dining room and retail areas.
• Ability to speak, read, and understand the primary language of the location.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and attentive service to guests throughout the visit.
• Receive food and beverage orders, enter into the POS, and coordinate with kitchen.
• Anticipate guest needs and note preferences.
• Maintain knowledge of pastry, bread, kitchen, beverage, and retail items.
• Prepare drinks for the dining room as needed.
• Handle guest situations with empathy and escalate to a manager when necessary.
• Complete opening, mid, and closing procedures; daily checklists and side work.
• Organize money and receipts per cash handling policy.
• Keep areas clean and organized by following cleaning checklists.
• Assist with setting up patio furniture and exterior seating as applicable.
