Job summary

Newk’s Eatery is seeking energetic, dependable Shift Leaders to help lead our team and deliver the outstanding food and hospitality our guests expect. If you’re passionate about serving others, enjoy leading by example, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to meet you.

As a Shift Leader, you’ll coach team members, ensure operational excellence, and create an exceptional experience for every guest while supporting store leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of restaurant or food service experience.
• Previous leadership or trainer experience preferred.
• Ability to work at least 30 hours per week.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Must be 21 years+.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team during each shift.
• Ensure excellent guest service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
• Coach, train, and develop team members.
• Assign and monitor opening, mid-shift, and closing duties.
• Maintain food quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
• Monitor labor, food costs, and minimize waste.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and cash handling.
• Conduct daily shift huddles and communicate goals clearly.
• Support all restaurant positions as business needs require.
• Maintain a positive, respectful, and team-focused work environment.
