Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader in California to drive daily operations during on-site shifts. You will lead by example, step into multiple roles from cashier to grill, and ensure every guest leaves satisfied with fast, accurate service.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years in hospitality, possess strong communication, stay calm under pressure, and handle basic math and POS systems confidently. This role offers the chance to grow into greater leadership within a busy, high‑energy environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• Team-first mindset with strong communications skills.
• Leads by doing—not just directing.
• Ability to stay cool and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room roles.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
