Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader in California to guide daily operations and lead by example on busy shifts. You will work hands-on with a fast-paced team, covering cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room roles while upholding brand standards.

Ideal candidates demonstrate leadership, strong communication, and the ability to stay composed under pressure. Growth opportunities exist as leaders move into higher roles within the company.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of restaurant or hospitality experience, leadership preferred.
• Strong communication and team collaboration.
• Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in fast-paced environments.
• Basic math skills and experience with POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management is off-site.
• Work across cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and guest experience.
• Coach and motivate crew to perform at their best.
• Train new team members and maintain brand standards.
• Manage breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
• Keep the restaurant clean and safe.
