Job summary

Zenapply in Draper, UT seeks a Shift Lead to guide staff during store operations, focus on quality, training, and daily flow while the GM is away. You will learn menu items, ensure accurate orders, handle the POS, and model consistent high standards.

This role covers opening and closing shifts, customer service excellence, beverage and food preparation according to recipes, cash handling, inventory checks, teamwork, and punctuality. Prior customer service and leadership experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Food Handler's Permit/Food Handler Card as required by local health regulations (or obtain within the required timeframe after hire).
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Previous professional leadership experience is greatly preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take accurate orders and process transactions through the POS system.
• Communicate clearly with guests about menu items, modifications, discounts, and promotions.
• Thank guests sincerely and invite them back (example: 'See you tomorrow!').
• Address guest concerns politely and with professionalism, upholding our 100% satisfaction policy.
• Answer the store phone and handle basic customer queries and requests.
• Prepare espresso drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and specialty beverages according to company recipes and standards.
• Prepare and serve food items safely and efficiently.
• Ensure consistency, quality, and proper presentation of all drinks and food items.
• With the team, manage daily tasks (checklists, cleaning, restocking).
• Track cash deposits, count tips, sort bills, and assist with inventory tracking using spreadsheets.
