Job summary

Hudson Restaurant Group is hiring Shift Lead to help lead daily restaurant operations and support teams in delivering outstanding service. This entry-level leadership role offers hands-on training and opportunities to develop management skills and advance within the organization.

As a Shift Lead at Zaxby’s, you will supervise shifts, delegate tasks, maintain guest service and food quality standards, and ensure operations run smoothly across front-of-house and back-of-house.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or leadership experience preferred.
• Willingness to work hands-on in all areas of the restaurant.
• Ability to communicate clearly, delegate responsibilities and support team members.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, food quality, guest service and operational standards.
• Dependable, energetic and committed to working as part of a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to complete all required Zaxby’s training and certifications.
• Interest in developing leadership skills and advancing within the restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and support day-to-day operations.
• Assign positions, delegate responsibilities and keep the team focused during shifts.
• Work hands-on across front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
• Maintain high standards for guest service, food quality, cleanliness, accuracy and speed.
• Open and close the restaurant and office per procedures.
• Serve as a responsible keycard holder and follow security procedures.
• Handle cash and complete shift reconciliations.
• Conduct restaurant walk-throughs to address needs.
• Support new procedures, promotions and improvements.
• Report daily performance numbers and interpret metrics.
• Communicate staffing and equipment concerns to leadership.
• Coach and support team members and model positive behavior.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized restaurant.
• Uphold brand standards, policies and procedures.
