Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader in Washington to supervise and lead on busy shifts. You’ll work side-by-side with the team, handle multiple roles, and help deliver fast, accurate service while maintaining brand standards.

You’ll coach crew, train new hires, and contribute to a positive, safe kitchen environment. Growth opportunities exist as you demonstrate hands-on leadership every shift.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• A team-first mindset with strong communication skills.
• Leads by doing—not just directing.
• Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
