Job summary

Refuel is seeking a Subway Shift Lead in Pittsboro, NC to oversee daily shift operations and ensure excellent customer service, food safety, and cleanliness on the front line. You will supervise team members, assist with scheduling, training, and inventory control while leading by example during busy periods.

The role requires flexibility for evenings and weekends, a non-exempt hourly position, and the ability to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, food service, or customer service.
• Able to perform basic math at an eighth-grade level.
• On-the-job training provided for new team members.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift operations to ensure food safety and brand standards.
• Perform all duties of a Sandwich Artist including food prep and guest service.
• Train and coach new team members on duties and procedures.
• Monitor inventory and rotate stock to maintain freshness.
• Inspect equipment and storage areas for cleanliness and safety.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and secure the restaurant.
• Maintain a positive team environment and handle guest concerns professionally.
