Job summary

Pret A Manger in New York City is seeking a Team Leader to run shifts, coach teammates, and uphold Pret’s standards of hospitality and quality. You’ll be the backbone of daily operations, ensuring a smooth open-to-close flow and a positive team culture.

You’ll lead by example, train staff on food prep, barista skills, and guest service while driving sales, managing costs, and supporting a fast-paced environment. Eligible for a Mystery Shopper bonus and tips, with room for growth within Pret.

Qualifications

• 1+ years supervisory experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality environments.
• Experience supporting operational performance in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• NYC Food Handlers Card is required.
• Available to work in person for 30+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Run shifts confidently from open to close and ensure smooth operations.
• Coach and train team members on food prep, barista skills, guest service, and Pret standards.
• Provide real-time feedback to help team members improve.
• Conduct pre-shifts to align daily goals and priorities.
• Create a positive, energized environment and address team concerns with the Manager.
• Ensure all Pret standards for food, drinks, and temperatures are met during shifts.
• Deliver excellent guest service and coach the team to do the same.
• Execute new product launches and promotions on time.
• Open or close the shop following Pret procedures.
• Monitor equipment, report maintenance issues, and manage waste and stock levels.
