Responsibilities

• Assist customers and lead the team in driving sales, service, and customer experience initiatives in store to achieve sales, KPIs and store performance goals.
• Prioritize, assign, and delegate daily goals, tasks, and assignments to associate team and ensure proper completion when manager on duty.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and positive attitude in the workplace, including communication via verbal, written, or email.
• Partner with the Store Manager to plan and execute community events and develop relationships with rescue agencies.
• Protect employees and customers by maintaining a safe and clean store environment; maintain livestock well-being and care.
• Lead and demonstrate engagement with customers using selling and service model.
• Maintain store standards and safety requirements; protect company assets.
• Clean pet enclosures; ensure animals have food and water; support maintaining the fish system.
• Restock merchandise; move products from stockroom to sales floor; heavy lifting up to 55 lbs.
• Assist with physical inventories, counts, and shrink control; support new hire training and merchandising guidelines.
