Job summary

Pet Supermarket in Naples, FL seeks a Shift Lead to support the store management in driving sales, animal care, merchandising, and daily operations as the manager on duty. Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year retail or customer service experience
• Enjoy working with and around animals.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and lead the team in driving sales, service, and customer experience initiatives to achieve sales, KPIs and store performance goals.
• Prioritize, assign, and delegate daily goals, tasks, and assignments to the associate team and ensure proper completion when manager on duty.
• Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude in the workplace, including communication verbally, in writing, or by email.
• Plan and execute community events and develop mutually beneficial business relationships with various rescue agencies.
• Protect employees and customers by maintaining a safe and clean store environment. Maintain cleanliness and well-being of all livestock including animal care and feeding.
• Lead and demonstrate engagement with customers using selling and service model.
• Maintain store standards and safety requirements, including protection of company assets.
• Clean pet enclosures and ensure all animals have appropriate food and water.
• Support in maintaining the fish system.
• Restock merchandise and move products from stockroom to sales floor; heavy lifting up to 55 lbs.
• Assist with inventories and shrink goals.
• Proficient in opening and closing procedures.
• Communicate concerns with gaps in performance to Store Manager for timely resolution.
• Support the execution of new hire training and merchandising guidelines.
• Support community events and partnerships with rescue agencies.
• Complete tasks and other duties as assigned.
