Job summary
Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. Middletown Works is seeking a Shift Manager Electrical Maintenance & Control to lead a team of Electronic Repairmen and drive reliable, safe equipment performance.
You will supervise 5–20 technicians, guide system troubleshooting, plan outages, and develop improvements while coordinating with Operations and EM&C managers. A strong background in electrical engineering and PLC troubleshooting is expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred.
- 3 years of control systems and PLC experience.
- Willingness to support a 24/7 operating environment.
- Experience supervising electronic technicians.
- Experience with troubleshooting electrical control systems.
Responsibilities
- Supervises 5-20 Electronic Repairmen for preventive and maintenance services.
- Lead and assist in system troubleshooting and repairs.
- Determine root causes and implement solutions to stop recurrence.
- Provide after-hours troubleshooting support.
- Maintain and improve electrical documentation.
- Develop short- and long-term equipment improvement plans.
- Plan outages and upgrades; assist contractors during these plans.
- Communicate problems and solutions to Operations and EM&C managers.
