Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking a Shift Manager Maintenance (Electrical) in Coatesville, PA. This hands-on leader supervises specialized trade crews and oversees plant-wide electrical, control, and power distribution systems.

You will troubleshoot complex outages, guide diagnostics, and ensure zero-incident operations under NFPA 70E and LOTO protocols. Ideal candidates have supervisory experience in heavy industry, along with electrical/electronics troubleshooting expertise and a relevant degree.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
Supervisory experience in manufacturing or heavy industry.
Experience with electrical/electronics troubleshooting in plant environments.

Responsibilities

Directly supervise specialized craft technicians and shop personnel across High Voltage, Industrial Electronics, Motor Repair, and Plant HVAC/Combustion groups.
Serve as primary technical SME and escalation authority during downtime events and outages.
Oversee operations, maintenance, and switching for medium/high-voltage substations up to 138kV and major feeders.
Guide diagnostics and repairs on high-horsepower motors, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, crane controls, and instrumentation.
Enforce NFPA 70E, LOTO, arc-flash boundaries and high-voltage safety procedures.
Coach upskill craftspeople with tools, training, and technical guidance.
