Job summary

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including required systems start-ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day.
• Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change as requested to cash registers.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Assists with and coaches other team members in warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including opening the backdoor for deliveries.
• Registers all related sales on assigned cash register, including notes on scanning errors, price verifications, and price changes.
• Assists in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics; evaluates and develops displays including promotional setups and resets.
• Maintains accurate inventory counts across departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
• Ensures pricing accuracy and signage, and handles local regulatory pricing tasks.
• Assists with bookkeeping activities such as cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payments.
• Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, requests repairs when needed, and ensures proper stock placement and rotation.
• Assists with compliance to state/local laws regarding regulated products and bag checks of team members.
• Reports disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
• Attends training and completes PPLs as requested.
