Job summary

Walgreens in Winthrop, ME seeks a capable associate to support store operations and customer experience. You will open/close the store in management's absence, ensure cash handling and daily start-up tasks are complete, and assist with deliveries and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, handles start-ups, cash handling, and floor readiness.
• Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change as requested to cash registers.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Greets customers and patients, assists with products and services, and resolves issues for a positive experience.
• Shares customer service best practices with team to deliver a distinctive experience.
• Keeps store keys to open/close when management is not present.
• Coaches team on vendor ordering and backdoor deliveries.
• Records all sales on registers, including scanning errors and price verifications.
• Reviews order exceptions and assists in reverse logistics.
• Develops displays and completes resets for promos.
• Maintains accurate inventory counts and stockroom/on-hand quantities.
• Ensures Outdate program compliance with team.
• Manages pricing tasks and signage, and complies with local regulations.
• Assists with bookkeeping activities including cash reports and ledgers.
• Maintains store appearance and requests repairs as needed.
• Separates raw from prepared foods and rotates stock.
• Knows store systems and equipment.
• Assists at Pharmacy out window as requested.
• Ensures compliance with state/local laws on regulated products.
• Bag checks of team members.
• Complies with policies and maintains respectful relationships.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks.
• Attends training and completes PPLs requested by Manager.
• Liaison between management and non-management, assigning tasks when management is absent.
• Reports disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
