Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is hiring for a Key Carrier to support store operations and lead by example. You will alternate roles between Coordinator and Key Carrier, with emphasis on leadership during nightly and weekend shifts.

You’ll ensure outstanding customer service, coach Associates, and uphold company procedures while maintaining safety and loss-prevention standards. This role requires adaptability and strong communication across teams.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience.
• 2
• 6 months leadership experience.
• Knowledge of store operations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to coach and mentor Associates.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience.
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality.
• Acts as Manager on Duty adhering to company policy and procedure.
• Ensures store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan; prioritizes as needed.
• Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides appropriate coaching to Associates.
• Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers.
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience.
• Ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures.
• Ensures opening/closing procedures are executed according to company guidelines.
• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates.
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback.
• Provides feedback, recognition and coaching to Associates.
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
• Supports and participates in shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
