Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a Key Carrier to support store operations in Richmond, VA. This role alternates with the Coordinator role, serves as Manager on Duty, and coaches Associates to ensure excellent customer service and adherence to procedures.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months leadership experience in retail, strong communication skills, and availability to work nights and weekends. This on-site position offers career growth and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coach and delegate tasks to Associates while maintaining store standards.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Acts as Manager on Duty adhering to company policy and procedure
• Ensures store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides coaching to Associates
• Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience
• Ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures
• Ensures opening/closing procedures are executed according to company guidelines
• Communicates updates to management and Associates when setting priorities
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Coaches and mentors Associates; trains on needs to increase effectiveness
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs
• Ensures adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned
