Job summary

Kuppa Joy Coffee House is seeking a Shift Lead in Fresno, CA to guide daily operations, coach teammates, and uphold hospitality and quality standards. You will lead shifts, delegate tasks, and ensure a warm, efficient cafe experience.

Candidates should show leadership, reliable communication, and a desire to grow into higher leadership roles. California Food Handler Certification is required upon hire, with weekend availability and some holidays expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 months experience as a Kuppa Joy Barista.
• Be in good standing with no progressive discipline within the last 3 months.
• Be available to work a minimum of 25 hours per week with one opening and one closing.
• California Food Handler Certification must be obtained upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts by delegating tasks, maintaining flow, and supporting team performance.
• Coach team members with clear, respectful, and timely feedback to develop skills.
• Ensure customer service, food & drink quality, cleanliness, teamwork, and asset protection during each shift.
• Report issues and support smooth day-to-day operations.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and company policies.
