Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a proactive Shift Leader to run daily operations, coach crew, and deliver top-notch guest service. You’ll work hands-on across all station roles, keeping a fast-paced kitchen on track while upholding brand standards and safety.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in hospitality, strong communication, and the ability to lead by example in a dynamic team setting. Growth opportunities and a collaborative workplace are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• Strong communications skills.
• Someone who leads by doing—not just directing.
• Ability to stay cool and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room—no task is too small.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience every time.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
