Job summary

Five Guys in Waynesboro, VA is looking for a Shift Leader to lead the shift, work side-by-side with the team, and set the tone for every shift. You’ll jump into every station—from cashier to grill—delivering fast, accurate service and ensuring guests leave impressed.

You will coach crew, maintain brand standards, manage breaks and cash, and participate in training new team members in a fast-paced, team‑driven environment. This role offers growth opportunities within a popular brand.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• Team‑first mindset with strong communication skills.
• Leads by doing, not just directing.
• Stays calm and makes decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Take on every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and great guest experiences.
